Progressive Spring

The progressive spring is designed to adapt its action depending on the pressure applied. The name "progressive" indicates that the spring's operating characteristic changes or "progresses" depending on the load acting on it. The key element that enables this type of operation is the varied coil pitch of the spring. In practice, this means that with a smaller load, for example when the user is a child, the spring reacts more gently, engaging its initial coils. This ensures smooth and safe braking even with lighter weights. When the pressure increases, for example when the user is an adult, further, stiffer spring coils come into play. This, in turn, allows the spring to adapt to a greater load, still providing effective and controlled braking. The key advantage of such a design is that it can be used in a very wide range of applications.
